LICENSED DUBAI TOUR GUIDES

Find the Tour Guide-Find Your Tour-Get Unforgettable, Adventures Experience-U.A.E.

I have been living in the Arabian Gulf area almost continuously since 1979. During this time I have been working in variety position in the Hospitality Industry mainly Hotels & Tourism.

For years I used to do freelancing in the countries of my residents as an extra duty for largest Travel Agencies from Finland. So, I got a first hand experience with handling the guests and their requests from all over the world. Such famous Travel Industry names as Aurinkomatkat and Finnmatkat are still today my regular clients every season. During the winter time  Aurinkomatkat alone have one or two charter flights weekly arriving from Finland to UAE—I conduct all their City Tours.

When moving to Dubai almost 9 years ago I got an opportunity to work at the Dubai Center for Special Needs as an administrator. This gave me a good idea about  the special needs tourism and for this reason, I decided to take part for a DTGA training to obtain my license. I got it by summer 2006 and since then, I have been working as a freelancer tour guide.

My long experience in the Gulf area and especially within the service industry, personal interest for the history, good knowledge of the culture and several connections to excellent service suppliers have been benefitting many of my clients. In return I have gained the trust of many corporate clients and large group whom today are my regular clients; corporate and individual visitors that use my services monthly.

In addition—I have been able to explore the roads and terrains of UAE and falling love with the desert and the nature. Several visits to and drive thru experiences in the neighboring countries have added the flavor to the stories told to visitors.

Sheikh Zayed Road towards World Trade Centre 2005— Long time ago it was to be the tallest building in Dubai never to be built.

Today the view looks amazingly different with the Metro / Monorail trail running in front of WTC and DIFC surrounding it with new buildings...

My advice to you is to taste the ARABIC COFFEE;

The serving of traditional Arabic  Coffee (kahwa) is an important social ritual in the Middle East and it is a part of the world famous Arabic hospitality. Local coffee is mild with a distinctive taste of cardamom and saffron and it is served black without sugar. Some use few drops of rose water to give the perfumed extra taste for the coffee. Arabic kahwa is complemented with dates, to sweeten the palate between sips. It is considered polite to drink about three cups of the coffee when offered (It is served in tiny cups, about the size of egg cup).

You can buy the coffee powder (mixture of spices) from any supermarket or from Spice Souq. Just add one teaspoon full of powder (per small cup) to the boiling water—Let it turn around and then settle, and your coffee is ready to be served…
